Abortion must be the most over-debated topic I know of, and worthlessly so. People fight and bicker. They picket, march, donate and they even kill for this debate, and it is all in vain. This paper is unusual in the fact that it is not designed to prove to you that abortion is murder, though I could (if you wish to see the arguments for this statement see the paper of Abortion is Murder). Instead, it is to prove how stupid and misguided the argument is.
The fact is, abortion is murder. The only debate about abortion is whether or not the unborn child is in fact a child. If the baby is not a human until it is born, then abortion is fine. If the baby is a human at conception, then abortion is murder. The mother's rights is not an issue in abortion rights. I could go on for hours about why an unborn baby is human, but I wont. I have discussed that in another paper. Instead, I want to expose the debate, and debaters, for their true motives and purposes.
Many pro-lifers fight against abortion because they want to punish people for pre-marital sex. Some fight because it is 'the right thing to do'. Others legitimately fight because they feel the baby's are getting cheated out of their chance for life. Some pro-abortionists fight because they feel women are getting cheated. But what is the real motivation behind the pro-abortionists (I do not say pro-choice because I feel abortion is not about choice, but about murder, so pro-choice is merely a euphemism).
Did you know men support a 'woman's right to choose'? Do you know why? When the sexual revolution came about, people started getting pregnant out of wedlock quite frequently. Men, being their spineless and selfish selves, heard the woman say she wanted the right to have an abortion, so they agreed. Why? So that they could say, "You have the right to have an abortion, so I leave the choice in your hands. However, should you choose to keep the child, I am not responsible since you had the chance to get rid of this pregnancy. You're choice, you're responsibility". In other words, men gave women the right to abortion so they wouldn't have to be responsible for their actions (sexual actions to be specific). Now they can screw anyone they want, and not have to pay for it. A similar reason supports the women's side of the issue. Women were tired of having sex, getting pregnant and getting stuck with a child. So they said, this isn't fair. The guy gets to just leave and not worry about it. I want that right too!
I must say that it wasn't fair. Men were abusing their place of power in the home and community. But the answer wasn't to make both parties not responsible, the answer should have been to make both parties responsible! Instead of letting the women have the right to free sex like the men, why didn't we make the men have to take care of the babies like the women? I'll tell you why: because we are selfish and stubborn to the point of murder.
The argument has gone so far, however, that people have lost sight of these issues. Now women around the country fight for abortion rights because they feel it is 'their right' to their 'own bodies' when the real issue was 'the babies right' to the 'babies own body'. The origin of the fight was lost, conveniently since it was less than perfect or presentable. Millions of young girls think they are doing the right thing by supporting a 'woman's right to choose'. They have no idea that what they are really supporting is 'Man's right to irresponsibility' and 'Woman's right to murder'. Don't stay ignorant. See life as it is and don't buy into buzzwords, rhetoric and hype. Choose responsibility over convenience, and respect the babies right to life.
