Now
the weather's getting cold. But Alaura is almost big enough to help
with the laundry!
Clothespins are not the only delicacy she is allowed at our house.
She sure does a lot of eating, doesn't she!? It must be that age.
The world awaits without these walls.
It waits for you to join.
Join the world, my tiny child,
And fill it with your voice.
A teacher stands at every corner,
With advice and learning.
Listen to the teachers, child,
And heed what things they say.
An adventure lurks under every rock,
Hoping to be discovered.
Find the fun that life offers, child,
and live like there's no tomorrow.
A challenge sits on every moment,
Daring you to accept.
Don't fear the worst life has, my child,
Only work to achieve the best.
This world contains many strange things,
Outside these walls, my tiny child.
Do not forget what waits within,
Love waits, with open, soft arms.
